27th Annual Scarecrow Contest!

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm
Sunday, September 20th

Here’s your chance to design and build a scarecrow, and win prizes! Entries will be judged, and winners will be put on display at the farm on September 20th.

Two categories: Traditional and Any Other

Prizes: Three prizes in each category:

• 1st Prize: $150.00
• 2nd Prize: $100.00
• 3rd Prize: $50.00 Gift Certificate

Official Rules:

Contest is open to any group, family, or individual regardless of age.
All Entry Forms must be received by Thursday, Sept. 17th, 2009.

Entrants are responsible for bringing and installing their scarecrows.
Entries may be set up beginning at noon on Friday, Sept. 18th, and must be in place
by 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept 19th. Absolutely no set up on Sunday will be allowed. Pumpkin Farm personnel will be on hand to assist and supervise installation of scarecrows.

Judging will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20th.

Each scarecrow must have a vertical support of wood for the body,
which will be wired to a steel fence post for display.
All entries must remain on display outdoors September 20th-October 31st, and therefore are required to be able to withstand the elements. Scarecrow may be picked up anytime after October 31st until November 7th.

Entries will be judged on originality, design, color, creativity, and durability.
