Sandy Bishop opened Mrs. B's Country Bakery on the farm in 1982. It has since been expanded twice to meet the ever growing demand for her pies, cakes, breads, muffins and cookies.
Mrs. B's pumpkin pies are made from scratch using special pie pumpkins grown right here on the farm.
If you think pumpkin from a can is just as good-- then you've never tasted "real" pumpkin pie.We also grow apples for our French Apple pie and walnuts for our Walnut, Lemon Walnut, and Pumpkin Walnut pies.
Perhaps the most famous item coming out of the bakery is the Pumpkin Apple Muffin. Do not leave without trying one.
After much hounding, Sandy did make the recipe available for the muffins in Volume II of her cookbook, now available in the gift shop. She is still holding out on the Lemon Walnut Pie recipe, despite many requests.
Many people don't realize that Mrs. B will bake your holiday pies for you.
Farm fresh fruit,
and perfect crusts-from Mrs. B's kitchen to your guest table!
Call during the week or two leading up to Thanksgiving or Christmas to place your order.
