They are real pumpkins, still attached to the vine, at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland, CaliforniaPerfect for Pumpkin Pies
For delicious pies, we grow the winter luxury variety pumpkin.

We found this variety ourselves over 30 years ago, and find it the best for pie making. It has a very sweet, thick flesh and cooks up very smooth.

We make our own pumpkins pies from these pumpkins-grown right in here in our own fields. As far as we know, we are the only farm in North America where you can buy a pie made with pumpkin fresh from the field.
